Erase Your Break

Introduction

I’m so glad you’re here. Truly! Thank you for investing in yourself, your voice, and your artistry. This journey is going to change the way you sing  and I can’t wait to walk through it with you.

If you’ve ever felt frustrated by that ā€œstuck spot,ā€ worried your voice would crack, or wondered whether you’d ever reach the notes you dream about — you’re in the right place. You are about to retrain your voice in a healthy, sustainable way so you can sing freely, confidently, and with one seamless sound from bottom to top.

This course is designed to teach your muscles something new, and just like learning any new skill, it takes a little patience and consistency. So be kind to yourself, give your voice time, and celebrate every little step forward — they add up faster than you think.

As you work through these exercises each day, remember: go slow and stay curious

  • Practice consistently, not forcefully

  • Never push or strain — ease always wins

  • Trust the process and trust your body

  • Your voice can grow — at any age and any stage

If something feels tight or strained, pause, breathe, and reset. The goal isn’t to ā€œmuscleā€ through — it’s to build coordination, strength, and freedom. You’ll feel your voice stretch, strengthen, and smooth out as new habits take root. And yes — you will increase your range, improve your stamina, develop better tone and flexibility, and build the style and expression that makes your voice uniquely yours.

I’m cheering for you every step of the way. Your voice is a gift — and it’s about to feel more free and connected than ever.

Let’s get started. You’re going to love what you discover.

What Is a Voice Break?

The ā€œbreakā€ is the spot where your voice wants to flip or strain as you move from low to high notes. It can feel frustrating, but it’s simply your voice shifting gears. With targeted exercises and mindful technique, you’ll learn to bridge that area, balance your tone, and connect your voice so you can sing higher with freedom instead of strain. Over time, you’ll build one seamless sound from the bottom of your range to the top.

Vocal Warm-up Male Voices

Before we dive into the more challenging mix-voice exercises, take a few minutes to warm up your voice. This warm-up is designed to gently activate your entire range and set you up for success. A consistent warm-up helps you build healthy muscle memory, stay relaxed, and approach the higher work without strain.

Use this warm-up anytime — before practicing this course, before singing your songs, or anytime your voice needs a gentle reset. Let your body wake up, stay patient, and enjoy the process as your voice gets ready to work and grow.

Mixed/Middle Voice Male Voices

This is the heart of the Erase Your Break program — where we train the coordination that smooths out your break and creates that seamless, flexible sound from low to high. These targeted mix-voice exercises are designed to strengthen the connection between your registers, build stability, and help you sing higher without strain or tension.

Work slowly, stay relaxed, and allow your voice to find balance rather than pushing for power. As you repeat these patterns, you’ll build new muscle memory, expand your range, and experience more freedom, clarity, and consistency through your middle and upper range.

Take your time and trust the process — this is where the real transformation happens.

Chest Voice Male Voices

Your chest voice is the foundation of your tone — warm, strong, and grounded. In this section, we’ll isolate and strengthen your lower register so it stays relaxed, supported, and consistent. Developing freedom and clarity in your chest voice is essential to building a healthy mix and creating smooth transitions through your break.

Work patiently and focus on ease rather than force. A balanced, confident chest voice will give you stability as you move upward and help your high notes feel more connected and secure.

Head Voice Male Voices

Your head voice is your upper register — light, flexible, and resonant. Here, we’ll isolate and strengthen this part of your voice so it’s clear, stable, and responsive. Training the head voice gives you access to effortless high notes and sets the stage for a balanced, beautiful mix.

Remember, we’re not pushing for volume — just freedom, alignment, and clean, clear, supported tone. As your head voice becomes more confident and consistent, your transitions will smooth out and your break will begin to disappear.

Vibrato and Straight Tone Male Voices

Developing control over both vibrato and straight-tone singing is essential for modern vocal styles. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to switch smoothly between the two, giving you flexibility and style for jazz, country, pop or Broadway styles. With mindful practice, you’ll build the control and awareness needed to choose your sound on purpose — adding polish, expression, and confidence to every phrase.

Stylized Flip Male Voices

This section focuses on the intentional, stylistic ā€œflipā€ — that light, airy break from chest voice often heard in pop and country vocals. Instead of an accidental crack, this is a controlled, expressive choice that adds emotion, texture, and character to your sound. You’ll learn how to execute this flip intentionally and musically, giving your voice another tool for style and storytelling.
